Friendly and attentive staff. The meat is of great quality and the various cuts are welcome. The charcoal fire is perfect for the bbq. Make sure to try the special rice that takes 30 mins to prepare. You can miss the kimchi jigae and pancake.
Walked in without a reservation on a Saturday evening and was glad they had a table for us!
Extensive menu to browse and upon enquiring more on the meats, the waiter was really helpful in his recommendations! We ordered a few different cuts (sadly I don’t rmb them) and all of them tasted great thanks to the guidance from the waiters!
Will definitely return again!
Quite disappointing, we came here because of the high rating, the quality of the meat was not what we expected for the price we paid. See picture, we paid $40 for a small plate of 180g wagyu Karubi mori, but half plate are poor cut of almost fat only pieces and few pieces were so chewy we had to spit out. We also ordered other items but we had tasted way better wagyu somewhere else before for the similar or cheaper price. We paid total $220 for a family of 4 including 2 kids. We also had the pork tontoro, which suppose to taste very good, crispy and savory but i think they way they cut it is quite thick that kinda make it chewy a bit. Thinner cut would make it taste better.
Just by looking at those excellent marbling on the Wagyu beef, makes your mouth water. The sizzling sound of the beef hitting the grills are music to my ears. All the wagyu beef recommendations were really good. My only comment as far as beef is concerned is the kiriotoshi off cuts - they are quite chewy and tough. The dipping sauce is quite underwhelming - neither salty nor sweet enough. Considering this is my 4th time to Aburiya, I think the standards has declined. Hope they will improve back to their original standards.
Truly stellar quality of meat. Indeed as the menu stated - beef that melts in your mouth 👍 thankful we got a seat on a Friday night! Ordered the premium platter for $60 - consisted of 4 different premium cuts, of about 2 slices each. The Rosu was the most delightful. Soft, a good balance of lean and fatty meat, one bite and it melts. Highly recommended. The rice cost $14 for a 2 px portion - fragrant and well-deserving on the time we had to wait for it.
The fact that it is by the river side makes the atmosphere very airy sort of like it is out in the open where everything just blends together. The service was amazing, the staff were so helpful to our family and they had helped us cook some of the beef if we didn’t know how to. The food was incredible. The beef was tender and light, the seasoning was strong but not overpowering. The pork was lightly seasoned to bring out the smoky taste of the grill that we had grilled the meat on. It was a taste that cannot be described and can only be tasted. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
This place is a nightmare. Service extremely rude to the bone. When we saw they give us the TRIMMING meat. Trimming meat should NOT be served to customer because 90% contain FAT only. When we complaint about it, the waitress scold us rudely and told us to accept it or just order another cutting. When we said totally different with the menu book, she said DON'T LOOK AT THE BOOK!! It's a big big alert this place is a scam.
The beef cuts are yummy! Good marbling and beef tasted good. The beef tongue with spring onion wasn’t as good as I had expected. It was cut a little too thin. Overall meat quality is good.
